ATTENTION USA CUSTOMERS!
Effective December 12, 2003, American Law and the United States government requires that every food type shipment destined to the U.S. have a customs entry Prior Notice and approval (electronic) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before leaving Canada. Any food type package sent that has not been pre-approved and does not have the appropriate FDA label will be returned to sender at the sender's expense. For this reason, we will NOT be shipping any food products to destinations in the U.S.A. We apologize for any inconvenience.

How to Order

Ordering is easy. After finding an item you wish to purchase, just click on the the Add to Cart button found next to the item. This will add the item to your order form and return you to the main screen, where you may continue to shop. When you are done shopping, click the Checkout button in the navigation bar on top of the screen. This will take you to the order form.

After filling in all the required fields on the order form, you may either continue shopping or click the Process Order button. This will send your order to our system to be processed. You will then receive an email to the account you specified on the order form, confirming your order. Please keep this email handy as it contains important order and tracking information in case we need to follow up your order.
Security & Privacy

Our website uses state-of-the-art encryption from Verisign to ensure that your personal information, such as your credit card info, is sent to us and only to us. Once received, your information is stored in our secure system which is unavailable to anyone online, assuring your security.

At shopDownhome.com your privacy is important to us. Your personal purchase history and credit card information is not stored online and is not shared with other companies. We may on occasion e-mail you with news and special promotions which you may wish to take advantage of. If you do not want to receive such e-mails, please contact us at mailorder@downhomelife.com and we will be happy to remove your name from our mailing list.
Payment

All prices listed are in Canadian Funds. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club/EnRoute credit cards. Sorry but we are unable to accept CODs.
Shipping & Taxes
Shipping and Taxes are charged based on the mailing destination.

Taxes
In Canada: HST (14%) is charged to orders shipped to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, except for Books where only GST (6%) is applied. All other Canadian address are charged GST (6%) only on all goods.

US and International Orders: No sales taxes are applied.

Shipping
A shipping and handling charge of $7.50 is appled to each order. Delivery is via Canada Post unless otherwise specified. Additional charges for US and International orders are as follows:

US: Add 15% of subtotal.
International: Add 25% of subtotal.
Delivery Time

Your order is processed and shipped the same business day we receive it. Delivery time is dependent on Canada Post and varies as to destination, but you may use the below table as a guideline:

Atlantic Canada: 3 -5 Days  |  estern Canada : 7 - 10 Days USA: 2 - 3 Weeks  |  International: 4 - 6 Weeks

Delivery times may be longer during peak times such as Christmas.
Returns & Exchanges

At shopDownhome.com we strive for customer satisfaction excellence. If, at any time, we fail to meet your satisfaction simply return your purchase, in re-sellable condition, for a prompt exchange or refund. We apologize, no returns on personalized product. Returns purchased with personal cheques will be issued credit notes.
