About this Item:
Henrietta, better known as "Ettie" hailed from Henley Harbour on the Labrador coast south west of Cape Charles. She is described as a very outgoing, spunky woman who lived to be 93. Mummering was part of her tradition growing up on the Labrador coast and in Curling, now part of Corner Brook in western Newfoundland, where she also lived. She is seen here carrying a wicker basket of the type that workers at the Corner Brook paper mill would carry their lunch.
